Discover Insights Into Life in Boise over the Past 150 Years with READ ME TREASURE VALLEY

Boise has participated in a community wide reading project since 2001.  This year, in honor of both the Boise city and Idaho territorial sesquicentennials, a menu of great books offers a wonderful opportunity to discover insights into life in Boise and Idaho over the past 150 years. We encourage everyone to read and come together at events to learn and experience something new, be creative, and share ideas about how Boise’s, and Idaho’s, history helped shape its present and future. “This year we offer a rich menu of books from memoir to fiction with a little non-fiction tossed in for full flavor. We also have an extraordinary slate of events and activities for a range of ages and interests,” says project coordinator Mary DeWalt.  “Read Me is sure to provide a window into our community history, bring the community together and build a community of readers.”
